At the corner of the Dipolog City Hall, which is just across the Magsaysay Park you will see a monument or statue of three (3) men. They are said to be the three prominent pioneer leaders of Dipolog City. Their first mayor, their first priest and a farmer.

Over a hundred year-old cathedral whose hand-carved ceilings remains intact to this day. The altar was designed by our national hero, Dr. Jose P. Rizal. During our stay In Dipolog City, Ralph Tan once mentioned to us that Halo-halo in Dipolog is a must try. And the famous one is just in-front of the City Hall. Julie’s Halo-halo and Refreshment.   It’s a small snack bar who has been serving Dipolognon’s and it’s visitors since 1963. According to the people of Dipolog, the taste of the halo-halo did not change as time goes by. A lot of Dipolognons would always go back to the place and have a taste of Julie’s Halo-halo.

Giant Boots and Giant Sandals which is commonly known as “bakya” welcomed us in Plaza Magsaysay. I couldn’t help but be playful again. Kids were running around and playing in the giant foot wears which is actually a slide. 

Sunset at the Boulevard of Broken Dreams This is probably one of the scenes that catches my heart in Dipolog. The Sunset at the Boulevard or most known as the boulevard of broken dreams, despite the name, it's so lovely.   When your facing the sea you are actually looking at the Sulu Sea. It's probably one of the most visited place in Dipolog City.  As per the locals, they bring their visitors here most of the time because of the beautiful sunset at the boulevard.

My room for 2 days in Dipolog City I had a pleasant stay while I was in Dipolog City because of Restreto Inn & Cafe. Their very attentive, patient and accommodating staff were a plus, most specially Juvy, whose been very informative and very helpful. The Inn was located a bit far from the city proper. It's based in Brgy Minaog within the Shell Gasoline Station compound. Judging from the location, it seems like an old grocery store of a gasoline station, transformed into a travelers inn. This is the deluxe room good for two Despite the location, the rooms look so homey, although the Standard and Deluxe Rooms doesn't have windows. During our stay, we stayed in a Deluxe Room for 2 nights and experienced the Suite Room for a night with 2 other travel bloggers. The Suite rooms, compared to the Deluxe and the Standard room has their own windows, but you wouldn't really want to peep on it because of there is no impressive views anyways. During our second day stay in Dipolog the Ralph Lorenzo Tan and his brother offered to tour us around the Mediatrix Homes properties, view the greenery at the San Jose Valley, a 180 degrees view of the City and a glimpse of the peak of the famous 3003 Steps of Linabo Peak.

At first I was really wondering what are we doing here. It's either my expectations were not set or I was not listening when we were informed during our trip to Dipolog City to cover the Hudyaka Zanorte. When Ralph Lorenzo Tan was introduced to us, in their office, I was like hmmm okay... and he started to talk about the company and how was our trip and so on. Neither did I know that his the owner of the company.. Wooooooooosh! And I was like what????

My Route: How I get there. I'm from Iligan City, we were suppose to take the 12 noon Ocean Jet trip to OroquietaCity (Php 300.00 one way; 2 way is Php400.00) to save time and energy, however, our excitement were cut off after having known that the scheduled trip was cancelled due to  machine failure. According to Pinaytravelista, the agent said that there is no definite schedule for the next trip. So we had our tickets refunded (yes! Full refund) and immediately head to the North Bus Terminal of Iligan City (Php 7.00).

Hmm the bed is so tempting. I know it'll be another busy day ahead, but Lai and Christian was so eager to take sunrise photos at Gallas. 4am we're already awake and traveled almost 20 to 30 minutes to reach Gallas port. We wanted to see people fishing, we wanted to see fishermen in action and the beautiful sunrise. 2 travel bloggers stayed in the hotel, while the other 5 went out for that trip. Somehow I wish that Iligan City will have a park like this or of that of Oroquieta City, where kids can play free, instead of building playgrounds for a fee. We went to

I woke up quiet late and saw TravelJams already working on her netbook (the pleasure of working online). I opened my netbook and started checking mails. I was actually looking for our itinerary of the day, but there was none. I pinged PinayTravelista in Facebook and asked about our activity for the day, but she said there's no update yet. So Jam and I decided to just prepare our selves and pack our gadgets so when they'd say let's go, we're all set. Sponsored Breakfast... Yum...

It was raining hard when we arrived Dipolog City. I was lucky enough to have a far sighted sight and was alert enough to notice the welcome sign of Brgy Minaog, Dipolog City. I signaled the bus to stop and so we jump off.

I feel so honored being one of the travel bloggers permitted or should I say chosen to attend the recent Hudyaka Zanorte 2012 in Dipolog City last June 7 to 9, 2012 with 6 other Pinoy Travel Bloggers.  I arrived around 6:30 pm of June 6, 2012 at Brgy Minaog Dipolog City with Jam and Lisa Marie. As per instructions from the coordinator "Aleksi" (yeah that's really his really name) we stopped at the Isuzu Display Center across the Shell Station, beside that is Restreto Inn, which became our home for 4 days.
