Dipolog City: How to Get There
My Route: How I get there.
I'm from Iligan City, we were suppose to take the 12 noon Ocean Jet trip to OroquietaCity (Php 300.00 one way; 2 way is Php400.00) to save time and energy, however, our excitement were cut off after having known that the scheduled trip was cancelled due to machine failure. According to Pinaytravelista, the agent said that there is no definite schedule for the next trip. So we had our tickets refunded (yes! Full refund) and immediately head to the North Bus Terminal of Iligan City (Php 7.00).
We head to the rural transit bus station and was lucky to catch the non-aircon bus heading Dipolog City but were quiet unlucky not able to catch the Aircon Bus. However, the dispatcher/inspector told us, to just jump to the non-aircon bus coz we might still be able to catch the aircon bus heading Dipolog at Mukas for the barge or at the Ozamis Bus Terminal.
So we decided to pay only until Ozamis City for the first bus, jump off Mukas (Php 75.00) and took the barge going to Ozamis City (Php 25.00). We were indeed lucky to catch >the aircon bus in the barge, so heading to Dipolog City we were already riding the Aircon bus (Php 235.00 Ozamis-Dipolog Fare).
OTHER OPTIONS:
If your from Manila or Luzon Like Juanderful Pinoy, Lakad Pilipinas, Karenade and Shekinah. You can go to Dipolog by Plane, by boat or by land. You can check out the Bus-Roro Guide of Juanderful Pinoy or Lakad Pilipinas.
However, if you prefer convinience over adventure, you can ride a plane from Manila going to Dipolog City. CebuPacific and Airphil Express are available to take you from and to Dipolog City.
If your from Visayas or Cebu. You can take a boat ride from Cebu or Dumaguete to Dapitan then a 10 to 15 min bus or van ride to Dipolog City.
If your from Mindanao like me, you can enjoy a bus ride from where you are going to Dipolog City. I am not 100% sure though if there's a plane route Davao or Gensan going to Dipolog City.
