El Nido Palawan | Accommodation - Northern Hope Inn

Image
We arrived in El Nido past 11 in the evening and went straight to our accommodation at Northern Hope Inn. It's a homestay owned and managed by a local in El Nido and is located right beside the El Nido port. They also manage Northern Hope Tours, the travel agency we chose to arrange our accommodations and itineraries for the whole duration of this trip.  El Nido port is where the life of El Nido is. This is where the majority of the budget-friendly accommodations are and one of the busiest district in town. It houses a lot of must-try restaurants, nightlife, and socials. It is also where the island tours start. The beach is literally a stone throw away.  The Room We are occupying the ground floor room that accommodates 6 people. We are only 4 occupants on this trip. With me is Jam of Traveljams.com , Mike of Iliganonko.com and Doi of TheTravellingFeet.com . The location of this room is good for groups of seniors or aged family members. At that time of trav...

Kuala Lumpur | Staycation and KL Tower

Image
From Singapore, we exited to Kuala Lumpur. It was an evening flight so we arrived Kuala Lumpur quite late in the evening. It was a bit hard to get a cab that time. Good thing we have GRAB app handy.  We are an avid user of TNVS most especially while traveling. Since all of us are first-time visitors of Kuala Lumpur, we rely on maps and blogs to guide us thru. The funny thing is we were looking for a car for 6 pax but was surprised that the cars in KL are actually small. It can’t accommodate additional luggage for the 6 people. The grab driver told us to book another regular GRAB CAR since the car for 6 no longer have room for the luggage. So we did.  From the airport to our AIRBNB HOME, it took us 45 minutes by car. We pick up the keys as instructed and walaaaaaah welcome to our 3 days and 2 nights home.  1 bedroom 69sqm condominium at Swiss Garden  condominium for 6 persons View from our window If you don't have an AIR...

Cool Metro Manila Places You Can Visit Even during a Rainy Day

Image
Rainy days can be such a hassle especially in Metro Manila. If you’re on vacation or just stuck at home, you’ll definitely feel the boredom and the blues. So instead of getting stuck at home singing “Rainy days and Mondays, always get me down,” it may be best to sing, “Raindrops keep falling on my head, but that doesn’t mean my eyes will soon be turnin’ red.” Definitely, you don’t have to cry and the best that you can do is to search for cool places within Metro Manila that you can go to even during a rainy day. Large shopping malls and high-end malls are very popular destinations for many people, but if you are the type of person who would prefer going somewhere else and enjoy other cool places, then this could also be the right time to try something different. You might think that it would be a bit odd to go out during a wet weather, but then it could be a great idea since many people will opt to stay at home; chances are, these cool places within the metro may not b...

4 Restaurants You Gotta Try for Non-Batchoy Lovers in Iloilo

Image
I have nothing against batchoy, I just personally don't crave for it and my sister, too. In our recent trip to Iloilo we tried all sort of food we feel like trying. I didn't make my own research at all, but good thing my sister have a list that she wanted to try. So we followed her list in our little food trip.  Unfortunately La Paz Batchoy was not on the list, she likes pasta but not so much into Batchoy. However, if you really like batchoy, Netong's Batchoy in La Paz is highly recommended. Ditse's Food Trip List; GRILLER'S OYSTER HOUSE According to Iloilo.net.ph When you say Griller's it is synonymous to Baked Talaba (Baked Oysters). They have probably the cheapest and the most delicious baked Oysters in Iloilo City. It's one of the must-go-to food places in Iloilo City to experience authentic Iloilo dish.  My sister Eunice was frequent here with her co-missionaries. And I love it here too. Iligan City | Child-friendly Senior-friendly Destinations

Image
Iligan City is known for its waterfalling adventure trips and a lot of trekking destinations. It is because mountains surround Iligan City and 92% of the total land area is mountains. Thus the tourist destinations mostly revolve around getting wet and trekking.  We all know not all travelers are fit to do such adventure thrill activities, most especially to our elders and young once. So I gathered these touristy destinations that are senior-friendly and child-friendly. Those places they can visit and enjoy for sight seeing without having to trek for long hours.  TIMOGA SWIMMING POOLS (swim) Timoga swimming pools have been a favorite. It's fresh spring cold waters satisfy the heat. It's a public pool where you rent a spacious cottage or table for a few hours. Some of them are open for night swimming but are not open for overnight stays. They don't offer meals inside so you can buy outside from the long stretch of seaside restaurants and food stalls.   ...
