Dipolog Diary Day 2: The Uber Hectic Day (Part2)
3:00 PM Pinaytravelista buzz us in. We're heading Dipolog City Hall for a courtesy call to the City tourisms office. We drop off (plaza) and took some photos of this kids playing in the playground. Somehow I wish that Iligan City will have a park like this or of that of Oroquieta City, where kids can play free, instead of building playgrounds for a fee. We went to
the Holy Cross Church too.
4:00 PM We were able to pass by the monument of the 3 famous first men or leaders of Dipolog City. We were also able to meet The City Tourism Head Officer of Dipolog City. They provided us with flyers and booklets of Dipolog City and Zamboanga Penninsula. They were also kind enough to give us Rizal Passports!
After the courtesy call we head to Julie's (not Julies Bakeshoppe) hehe, it's located just across the City Hall. They say Julie's offers the best halo-halo in town. Well, I didn't let that pass my tastebuds, I know I should try it. For only Php 50.00 you have a "sahug" rich halo-halo and it's indeed yummy. I was a bit hungry so I ordered an additional banana cake slice and it's good. We paid for this food trip (disclaimer:)).

5:45PM until 6:30PM we went wild camwhoring at the sunset boulevard of Dipolog. We went to the fishing den and saw a number of young and old fishermen trying to catch a fish for their own consumption. Others were practicing for the upcoming fishing competition the next day. I even overheared a group of fishermen laying out their strategies for tomorrow.
Around 6:30 PM We went to the rotonda. And visited the symbolic structure of the tri-people of Dipolog City. Representing the harmonious living of the Christians, Muslims and the Lumads of Dipolog.
6:45 PM - We went to Good Times Cafe and Restaurant. It's an art haven. A vast display of art works all over the place. It's already dark when we reach the place. It looks and feels eewy though. I am personally not a fan of statues and figurines. It's just not my thing. But I was really impressed with how they conceptualize the ambiance and aura of the place. The artistic mind and talent of the contributors were overwhelming. I just hope they can preserve it for the next generation. We haven't tasted their food though. And by the way, there's an entrance fee of Php 15.00 per person, Php 10.00 for kids.
