Panglao Island: Family Adventure

Last October of 2011. Contacted Kuya Dodong 2 days before our planned trip. We have been constantly communicating making sure everything will run smoothly. Since we checked in in Muro-ami he docked his boat near the Panglao Church. The plan was already perfect however n a last minute the family decided to transfer to Alona Beach, we have to wake up super earlier than expected and drove to Beach Rock Resort to leave the things there and check in, then rush to the port side so that we can still catch Dolphins. Good thing the my siblings move as fast as they can we were able to go as scheduled.

Indeed we saw dolphins! A feeling that you can't simply explain, seeing the smiles and excitement in my siblings face, the moment is priceless.

Second stop: Balicasag Island
Balicasag Island

Activity: snorkeling They have fresh seafoods, chicken meat and pork for sale, and they can cook it for you for a very reasonable price. All you have to do then  is wait and relax. The sound of the wave is so relaxing and you can watch other tourist enjoying the snorkeling activity from a distance. If you don't have your own snorkelling equipments they have equipments for rent for only Php 150.00 per set and then additional Php 150.00 entrance fee for the fish sanctuary. If you haven't done it yet, this is a must try! The underwater world is far more beautiful than what you can see on land.
Tip! Don't forget to bring bread or biscuits for fish feeding so you can have close interaction with the sea creatures. It's also best to bring your underwater Digital Camera to capture the moments.
You can occupy their cottage for Php 200 which is consumable but they also have free open cottages that you can use during your stay. Locals are accommodating locals and sea tour guides. Dad didn't come with us snorkeling yet he had a great time talking to Kuya Dodong and the other people in the store whom he found out, were from Maranding, Lanao Del Norte. Our guide is even from Villaverde, Iligan City! kuhl huh? I mean cool.. hehehe
Last stop: Virgin Island
Virgin Island

Now I know why this destination would be the last stop, indeed we need to save the best for last. The beach is amazing, the white sand  is eye catching or should I say breath taking? I have been to a lot of island before and have done a lot of island hopping from different places but this long curved stretch of powder-like white sand connecting the island captivated me. The pristine shallow waters of the island excites every one. We couldn't help but just keep on jumping for joy!
a family that jumps together has a good timing... lols

munching a Php 50 buko :D

that island where i used to be

And Kuya Dodong's hidden talent is revealed. He may not have his own camera but he took good pictures! A skill he learned working with a lot of tourists already. would you believe he took most of our pictures in  Virgin Island? Good work Kuya Dodong. After spending the whole day in the sea, we were exhausted but we really had a great time. Kuya Dodong was very nice and accommodating, no wonder why he is always recommended.
