Balicasag Island is just one of the many treasure Islands of Bohol and the Philippines. It's rich biodiversity and people keeps tourist coming in. It has becoming a bit expensive now that it's protected and monitored by the local government, but it's for the good of the island. Keeping its richness, beauty and simplicity.
Resorts are not allowed to sprout here as it was said to be an umbrella like island. Putting up buildings or concrete houses will not only destroy the ecosystem but the foundation may be weak. It's my 4th time here, and I never missed doing the activities here.
Activities to do in Balicasag Island;
- Snorkeling Basic (it's best to bring your own gears) - Php 250.00*
- Rental of snorkeling mask - Php 150.00*
- Snorkeling with the Pawikan (sea turtle) - Php 250.00*
- Diving (800* and up) depends on your route
*Price may change without prior notice.
The locals have open cottages available for use. You can also buy drinks from them and buy fresh seafoods and have it cooked there too for a fee.
