Dipolog City: Hudyaka ZaNorte Festival 2012 Experience

I feel so honored being one of the travel bloggers permitted or should I say chosen to attend the recent Hudyaka Zanorte 2012 in Dipolog City last June 7 to 9, 2012 with 6 other Pinoy Travel Bloggers.  I arrived around 6:30 pm of June 6, 2012 at Brgy Minaog Dipolog City with Jam and Lisa Marie. As per instructions from the coordinator "Aleksi" (yeah that's really his really name) we stopped at the Isuzu Display Center across the Shell Station, beside that is Restreto Inn, which became our home for 4 days.

It was a fun 4 days stay with the Juanderful Pinoy, Lakad Pilipinas, PinayTravelista, TravelJams, Karen and Shekinah.

I would like to thank The Provincial Government of Zamboanga del Norte; Hon. Rolando E. Yebes , the Governor of the Province of Zamboanga del Norte, Atty. Patrick Ivan Ang ,Provincial Tourism Officer and Atty Flynt Concha, the Chairman of Hudyaka Zanorte 2012 for accommodating us in one of the friendliest inn in the city, The Restreto Inn. The staff most specially Juvy, was very accommodating, helpful and patient during our stay in Dipolog City.

I also would like to thank Mr. Ralph Lorenzo Tan of Mediatrix Homes Inc. who graciously toured us to their properties and projects. They also offered the best lunch during our stay, the Lechon Queen was indeed a Queen but as far as I know, it started in Oroquieta City. The Tan brothers brought us to one of their properties and showed us a 180 degrees view of Dipolog City. They also brought us at the starting point of 3303 Steps of Mt Linabo, where Catholic devotees do their penitential rights during holy week, it houses the 12 stations of the cross. Very accommodating, very nice people, very nice family. Not to mention very nice house designs. I wish to own one someday.

Thank you also to Dr. Gerald T. Concha Phd and the supermodel attorney Atty. Dianne Concha of Rural Bank of Rizal, Inc. who treated us with Pasta Sardines and white wine (CLASS!).

I would like to also thank Mrs. Juvy Lim Concha of Big Joes, for serving our hungry stomach after a long day of courtesy calls and photowalk around Dipolog City with sumptuous dinner. I personally love the Fish (what's the name of that dish again?) and the Garlic Chicken, which I highly recommend for you to try on your next Dipolog visit.

Thank you also to Dr. Emmanuel Quicio of the Dipolog Design Center for providing us with the Hudyaka Shirts during the Street Dancing event, which help us blend in with the working committees and allowing us to cross the streets and enter restricted areas for us to take photos.

We would also like to thank SevenOneHundred for initiating and tap the Pinoy travel bloggers through JuanderfulPinoy to witness and cover this extravagant event of Zamboanga del Norte. Thanks to Jan Michael Benzon for accompanying and guiding us where we're heading for the day. Special thanks to "Third" Sergio (What's your last name again? ) III :) for being so patient ,so game and so cool in accompanying us and providing us facts about the places we've been and a detailed history of Dipolog City. I'll surely tap you when I have questions. :D

Great Thanks Dipolog City and ZaNorte!

P.S. It could have been better if we were able to bring home some of the delicacies most specially the famous Spanish Sardines of Dipolog.

Watch out for Dipolog Diaries and Blog Series coming soon... :)
