Cagayan de Oro City | The Travelers Pod - Accommodation

Cagayan de Oro City is just an hour and 45 minutes bus ride away from where I am, Iligan City. My office is also is Cagayan de Oro. I commute at least twice a week to CDOC, and when it comes to accommodations, my family and I already have favorites. Budget, class, cleanliness and accessibility is at play. Even if there are a lot of new accommodations in the area, we settle with what we are used to. I always wanted to try new accommodations, but I just couldn’t get that opportunity somewhere. Good thing Lai of Pinaytravelista.com buzzed me in a staycation in her new found accommodation, The Travelers Pod. I never knew that such affordable and impressive accommodation exists in the Gateway building at Limketkai Business Park. I haven’t seen ads circulating in the social media and not even flyers or tarpaulins somewhere.

The traveler's pod fuses the luxury and comfort of a spa with a convenience and practicality of a travelers lounge. Their rates are impressive. The beds and amenities are classy. Compared to the common travel lounge we see, at Travelers Pod you can sleep for an hour to rest, take a bath, change clothes or relax without having to pay expensive room rates if you don’t intend to stay overnight.

PREMIER POD – Accommodates 3 to 7 pax. You can also call it a FAMILY ROOM. It already has it’s own private comfort room.

Travelers Pod is an upscale backpackers lounge without the feel of small bunk beds and small restrooms. They have an excellent bathroom that looks exquisite just like any 3 star or 5-star hotels. Since they offer short or hourly stays, they have many shared bathrooms and comfort rooms. The single pods are found in the hallway with curtain partitions for sort of privacy for those who are staying just for few hours or overnight. They also have baggage counters, where you can leave your bags while you’re doing your errands around the city.

Other than the amenities and their rooms, what I like most about Travelers Pod is their friendly and accommodating staff. They were patient enough to answers our queries and are a bit helpful when we asked them how to get to where we are heading. Travelers Pod location is also very convenient. Although it’s in the center of Cagayan de Oro, it’s not noisy, 24-hour pharmacy and convenient store are just a few steps away. And if ever you get hungry in the middle of the night, Jollibee can save the day. A 24 hour Jollibee store is just within the vicinity.

During your free time, as long as the mall is still open, you can just go up the escalator and walk at the footbridge connecting, Luxe Hotel, Limketkai Mall, and Shopwise. Almost everything is just within reach. So if you’d ask me, if I would recommend this place? I definitely will. I even planned my next stay already and booked my October function at Travelers Pod.
