I have lived almost half of my life in Iligan City and we have been crossing Lanao del Norte ever since I was born. My dad is from Misamis Occidental and my mom is from Misamis Oriental. We live in Marawi City and then Iligan City. Lanao is always a beauty. Before we reach MisOc we pass by Lanao del Norte municipalities and haven't really visited and discovered secrets and beauty in each of the Municipalities. Many groups attempted to conquer Lanao del Norte and it's municipalities because of its beauty. Good governance plays a big role. As far as I can remember since the Dimaporo's governed the Province, there's peace and order in place and recognizable developments. We arrived in El Nido past 11 in the evening and went straight to our accommodation at Northern Hope Inn. It's a homestay owned and managed by a local in El Nido and is located right beside the El Nido port. They also manage Northern Hope Tours, the travel agency we chose to arrange our accommodations and itineraries for the whole duration of this trip.  El Nido port is where the life of El Nido is. This is where the majority of the budget-friendly accommodations are and one of the busiest district in town. It houses a lot of must-try restaurants, nightlife, and socials. Travelers like me are always looking for accommodations that are right on budget most specially for solo travelers.
