Singapore is one of the most expensive destinations in Asia. If you ask Filipinos living in Singapore, they'd probably tell you to prepare a good amount if you are visiting Singapore. The cost of living in Singapore is high compared to other Asian Countries. If you have at least 15,000 pesos for a 3-day trip, you will surely survive Singapore. You might have heard or read about scary offload stories of tourists who wish to travel outside the country being of loaded or couldn't get pass through the immigration officer . I heard and read them too. Some people end up not grabbing that opportunity of traveling outside the country because of such stories. 

When I'm going to a place, I always make sure to have an itinerary, have a list of what I can do during my stay, accommodation options, places to visit and where to eat. However, sometimes when I'm travelling in a group, I try to let others lead and just follow whatever the group agreed upon. However, there are times or most of the time, we don't really agree with each other. Lately, I travel often with my family. It's either I'm with a member of the family or with the whole clan. And because of that, I would let the elders decide for the group. Now my parents are not really biggy with planning things ahead. And we all end up with frustrations, confusions and misunderstandings. Our temper goes out of hand, which ruins the family vacation experience. Trust me, it happens million times.

Everytime I travel, I see to it that I won't be using as much disposable plastics while on the road. Even at home, I discourage my siblings and family from using sachets and or tetra packs. Everytime I do the grocery, I see to it that will buy the big containers so as to lessen the number of plastics we dispose. Sachets , though looks economical and practical while on the road,but the truth is, it isn't. I bet you can't consume that full sachet of the shampoo or conditioner and while trying to budget the use of it and keep it in your toiletries bag, it would end up as a waste and messes up the bag, instead of saving, you end up opening another piece of sachet the next day. So instead buying a dozen of shampoo sachet and or conditioner, buy  the big containers and refill small container bottles before hitting the road. It won't take much of your time, and if you'll be patient enough, transferring from a big container to a smaller one won't be a mess.

During summer most of the time, people thinks about travelling or going out for a vacation. For the first time, I haven't planned anything for summer. But I do have scheduled trips out of town, for some committments, and not really the vacation that I have in mind. True... Sendong somehow change my priorities and would possibly forever be. I mean a lot of this changed, a lot of lives where changed. But I'm still blessed for having my family complete. So instead of really planning a trip outside Iligan, me and my family chose to explore Iligan instead. Instead of spending thousands for vacation, we opt to have our house fixed instead. As a blogger, we always have that urge to update status messages, post blog updates and upload pictures immediately or as it happen. Thus staying connected online is one of our obsessions (ganon!?). Free Wifi's may not always be available, not to mention Starbucks no longer provide it free (tsk!) and going to an Internet Cafe might be an issue. So always bring a USB Broadband Dangle with you.

Many would find it odd, but I believe having a water resistant watch is important. Most specially when you are traveling. You can't predict the weather to be fair all the time, and when the weather starts it's tantrums getting wet while on the go is very possible. Just make sure that it'll match all the outfit you prepared for the trip. Advantages : 1. You don't have to remove it while taking a swim at the pool or at the beach. Disadvantage : 1. It might not be suitable or come handy with your evening dress. (hihi)

My Purple Umbrella  As much as possible I will never leave the house without my umbrella. And yes it's obviously purple hehe. This is a must have during travels most specially in tropical countries like the Philippines. Because you'll never know when will the next rainfall be. Don't act like a super girl (may tatamaan neto.. alam ko... hehehe peace tayo!), invincible from coughs or colds because human as we are, our immune systems at some point are weak. And you can't afford to be sick most specially when you're on the road. So always bring an umbrella with you.
