Iligan City | Waterfalling Adventure Tour 3.0

Image
I missed the Waterfalling Adventure Tour 2.0 last year. I was in Cebu City, working my butt. Seeing their pictures streaming online, seriously frustrates me. "I can't be an office worker forever", I uttered. Hehehe This time with Waterfalling Adventure Tour 3.0, from planning to execution, I wanted to be there. But since because of a prior committment with family reunions, I couldn't be in all the legs of the tour. My sister Nique, wanted to join Limunsudan leg which is scheduled on day 2 of the tour, our schedules however, will not permit it. So we decided to join the day 3 itinerary instead. The waterfalling adventure tour this year was scheduled May, instead of the usually September trip. Why? because September is a hectic month for Iligan. The whole month celebration of the City Fiesta, makes it a bit difficult for us to get sponsorship committments, the city is so crowded and in between coverage of the city events, makes the schedule jampacked. ...

Waterfalling Adventure Tour 1.0 | Day 6 Marawi City

Image
Since they’re still in their adventure spirit, 11 out of the 12 bloggers and 2 IBS bloggers went to Marawi City to visit and experience the Islamic City of Marawi and MSU. Marawi City is just an hour ride from Iligan City. I personally love Marawi. I have been raised there and have studied at MSU-Marawi Campus too. My parents studied and met in MSU Marawi. And Marawi City is my first home. And yes, it has a special place in my heart. My mom still teaches in MSU-Main and goes up to MSU-Marawi almost every day for a class. There’s a lot Marawi City can offer. I was not able to go with them due to personal commitments with the family. But was happy that the bloggers had great time while in Iligan and Marawi. I may have to write about Marawi City more often. I just need to take recent pictures soon.

Waterfalling Adventure Tour 1.0 | Day 3 Part 2 The Busy-est day of all

Image
Part 2 The Dinner on our third day was at El Canto Grill. The bloggers enjoyed El Canto Grill's Chicken Barbecue and Sizzling Gambas. We keep asking for more. We do had a great time. While waiting for a food to be served, the bloggers had a great time chatting, they're starting to feel the effects of tireless waterfalling. But we still have 2 falls the next day. Their adventurous spirits were fighting the tired feet and eager enough to continue the trip. After the dinner, we went to the coronation night of Miss Iligan 2012. We just took few pictures and head back to the hotel. Well, night owls can't seem to call it a night without a cup of coffee so we drop by DD's for a coffee before we call it a day.

Waterfalling Adventure Tour 1.0 | Day 2: Southbound Waterfalling

It's Day 2 of the event, but day 1 to meet the waterfalls. Today we have visited the Tourism Triangle. I have been here a few times. Majority of the visitors of Iligan City, visit this tourism triangle often. It's the most known waterfalls in Iligan; the Maria Cristina Falls, Tinago Falls and Mimbalut Falls. After months of hybernating after sendong, it's my first time this year to visit the place.

[EVENTS] Iligan City | Waterfalling Adventure Tour 1.0

Image
Iligan City celebrates it's Fiesta with Señor San Miguel for the whole month of September. So when July ends, I know August and September will be a very busy month for me. I had to cut and  reschedule business related trips, schedule personal activities carefully and plan out how to make an activity a reality.

Iligan City | Dodiongan Falls

Image
It was Monday afternoon when PurpleSlipperz received a text message from PinayTravelista asking if we're up for a visit in Dodiongan Falls. Although there was a bit of hesitation, I said Yes any way. Photo taken by: PinayTravelista I didn't even care to make some research as I am confident that PinayTravelista definitely know what she's doing eh? But I am very excited going there. It would be my very first time visiting Dodiongan Falls. Now if you'd try to Google or simply search Dodiongan Falls , there's really no good content about it yet. It's not that visited by tourists and even locals from Iligan. It's not as famous as the Maria Cristina Falls and Tinago Falls but it's as gorgeous. Photo taken by: PinayTravelista So we met downtown to assemble. While traveling to Bonbonon I keep on laughing because the road is very familiar to me, and whoala there's the subdivision where I live. See? I didn't even know that Brgy Bonbon...
