Iligan City | Mimbalut Falls

Image
This is I think is the falls that has an easiest access of all the 23 water falls in Iligan City. You can probably go there any time, to swim or just simply witness the beauty of Mimbalut Falls. Alingatong |Explore Iligan 9200 One of the best things you will enjoy in Mimbalut Falls is that you can easily access the area where the water falls are and there you will enjoy the water massage on your back as the water falls above you. Unlike Maria Cristina Falls, the water current from Mimbalut Falls is not that strong. Or you can just deep yourself in some of the jacuzzi like spots in the area. A Lagoon like feature is also available is you wanted to swim from one point to another. Photo not mine. From Keith Salise Photography A lot of lovers do their pre-nup shots here, because it's scenic. You may witness locals doing their laundry on the side. So if you're a traveller who needs free laundry, you can actually laundry your things there, and hang it on the sid...

Image
The 2nd stop for the Iligan City Toursim Triangle is the Iligan Paradise Resort. But the third stop of our tour. It's located just above the Mimbalut Falls, Buru-un Iligan City. Owned and Managed by the Gerona Family, one of the dominating families here in Iligan City.  Iligan Paradise Resort was publicly opened October of 2010, and have undergone a lot of improvements since then.  There are a lot of activities available for every member of the family. Highly recommended for family recreation.  So let me highlight some for you. ZIPLINE : That's me and PinayTravelista Photo credit: Alingatong of Explore Iligan 9200 They have 2 types of zipline; the Harness Zip and the superman zip. You will be transported in two's crossing from one cliff to the other. And I should stress this, of all the zip line facilities i've tried so far, they have the smoothest landing and it really impressed me. Prior to coming here in Iligan Paradise the group where from NPC and...

After a long wait, finally I was able to try out NPC Nature Park's Zip Line. Zip lining has suddenly became a popular adventure activity now a days. I have been zip lining before so this isn't my very first time, but my first time in NPC Nature Park. Safety Harness + Belts + Head gear  I was lucky enough that i'm with a bunch of photographers that my every move was documented. There were 5 pit stops or jump off point as I previously mentioned from a previous post.  Before ziplinning you have to Submit the receipt from the Registration area to the Zipline Registration in-charge, sign a waiver and your weight will be measured for security and safety reasons. getting ready Before you can zip line you need to be wearing a closed shoes, if you're not wearing one they have shoes for rent at Php 50.00 each pair. Tourism Triangle | NPC Nature Park

Image
I have been hearing a lot since the park opened. But I haven't really paid too much attention about it yet because of conflict of schedules with friends and family members. That's why when the IBS Members planned to take the FAM tour of the Iligan City Triangle of the Iligan City Tourism, I couldn't hide my excitement to try everything what NPC Nature Park can offer. FROM THE SERIES: So from the 2nd Mechanized Infantry Brigade we went directly to NPC Nature Park. From the gates of NPC Nature Park you will need to register with your complete name and complete address. All individual who wishes to enter the premises needs to be registered and pay 30* pesos for the entrance fee. If you'll go ziplining that's an additional 200* pesos. From the gates of NPC Nature Park you can have a ride for only 10* pesos using the NPC shuttle service.  A...

2nd Mechanized Infantry Brigade

Image
Last August 7, 2011 I had an opportunity with other members of Iligan Bloggers Society to tour around the Iligan City Tourism Triangl e. We met at Jollibee Aguinaldo and left at exactly 8:10 in the morning.  We head to the 2nd Mechanized Infantry Brigade in Brgy. Maria Cristina . Just like us in IBS, the 2nd MIB has the same goal and mission and that is to promote Iligan City as a tourist destination.  It may be sad but true that majority of the people who doesn't want or afraid to visit Mindanao is because of the over sensationalized news articles from the Media about Mindanao's peace and order situation. A lot of Filipino's most specially from Luzon and Visayas sees Mindanao as a war zone. And we here from Mindanao is dying to prove everyone wrong. Sometimes even if the chaos is isolated in Jolo, Media generalize it as Mindanao. And majority of the rumor malingerers were never been to Mindanao, which is very annoying.  IBS with the 2nd MIB Officials ...
